Always adapting to changes
As we all know, Google changes its algorithm constantly, but many people only get to hear about the major changes. From the start we focused on getting the basics right. Good solid on-page SEO – making sure each target keyword has a unique landing page with the URL, page title, meta description, H1, H2, body text and canonical tags all optimised properly for SEO. Complementing this of course is good solid off-page SEO – backlinks. Our initial analysis will focus on the current backlinks coming into the site, assess the strengths and weaknesses of those links and put in place action plans within the campaign to remove any links which are either causing harm or could cause harm in the future. We would then begin our link building campaign using high quality links with excellent trust scores with sites on theme with the client’s site.
The balance for outstanding results
Historically as an agency we focused on organic rankings through SEO rather than Pay Per Click advertising. In many cases we work with clients on both PPC and SEO campaigns. Often when a client isn’t ranking well organically, we will work on getting immediate results driving traffic to their site through PPC. Then once the organic rankings improve, we will reduce the budget on the PPC campaign and increase the spend on the SEO campaign; it’s all about balancing and knowing the right time to switch the main focus from one to the other. In many cases the PPC campaign will eventually be paused while the focus on growing and retaining the organic ranking positions will remain.
